No one communications device has been shrouded in as much mystery, endured as much speculation and incited as much rumor as the much awaited Iphone 5, the soon to be latest release from Apple. Its predecessor, the Iphone 4 like-wise incurred the same inquiries, prior to its release, and has since developed a popular following of smart-phone enthusiasts from around the world. One rumour, made credible by the sheer volume of reports and the rational likelihood of its inclusion, is the installation of a new chip. The rumoured A5 chip or SGX543 could possibly run at double the speed of the existing Apple Iphone processors which could also be supported by a new graphics core to enhance the CPU power.
The Iphone has been a smart-phone, in each generation, that has celebrated the most modern and innovative mobile technology and with Apple being a company central to media software the Iphone 5 shouldn’t fail to disappoint with innovative media orientated tech. The possibility of live digital TV incorporated into the software and maybe even Satellite radio would put the Iphone 5 a few short yet crucial steps ahead of the competition.
Other vague rumors include the possible loss of the home button that has been a feature on all Iphone generation models so far and the actual body of the phone becoming slimmer and sleeker. There could also be room for solar powered battery support for longer battery life and the infamous NFC technology for use of the phone as a cashcard or Oyster Card.
With regards to more specific improvements compared to the Iphone 4 the 5 should possess more storage capability and could even run on a processor speed of 1.2GHz. This is enough improvement, alongside rectifying the antenna problems of the Iphone 4, to drive any smart phone consumer towards the Iphone.
